Shreveport City Court Traffic Division
Caddo Parish is notable because, as the clerk's office states: "Caddo Parish is Louisiana's first judicial district and comprises the civil and criminal divisions... The City of Shreveport is mainly served by a City Court." This means most traffic citations issued within Shreveport's city limits go to Shreveport City Court, not the district court. These are two separate record systems.
Shreveport City Court is at 1244 Texas Avenue, Shreveport, LA 71101. The civil, criminal, and traffic division phone is (318) 673-5830. If your citation was issued in Shreveport by a Shreveport officer, start here. The DA's Traffic Division also handles some Caddo Parish traffic matters. That information is at caddoda.com/trafficdivision. For serious charges like DWI or felony hit and run, the DA's office gets involved.
Note: Shreveport City Court and the 1st JDC are separate courts with separate records. Know which one has your case before you make a trip to the courthouse.
